For me, Blue Denim aka real raw denim started with an introduction to denimhunters and this guy – Thomas Stege Boier – between the 50 most influential people in the Denim industry. Thomas is a passionate blogger and author of the book BlueBlooded in which Thomas touches on Denim history, fabric, archetypes and brands. You can find more about the book here
We just kickstarted The Blue Blooded Portfolio – enjoy the awesome personas from Selvage Run and later Bluezone from some photobooth sessions here
This page is not to brag about my work, what pictures went into which magazine or which brands I worked for – but to give you a rare opportunity to get a behind the scene view of a cool community and handover a first-row presentation of what sustainability means here. Because as I come to learn, it’s not about consuming the new stuff but about how vintage you can go!
Here is a sloppy curated view of everything denim and some of the very likeable people in the business. You might not understand right away, but over time I know you just like I will become addicted. So lean back and enjoy the flow.
It’s just like any other line of work filled with technical terms but most of all everything centres around Japan. And if you were to dig into the history then you might also know that if not for Japan the American workwear and specifically Jeans as we know and love them, would not have been around any more. That said it’s easy to understand why Japan is the single most important part of the history of jeans.
I love to work for this industry
